While on a recent walk she was crossing the street at approximately 7:00 a.m. when she was struck by a speeding SUV. Passers saw what happened and ran to her aide. The driver of the SUV stopped and said she was sorry; she received a call from her daughter on her cell phone just as she was entering the intersection.
