Our client had recent neck surgery. He was recovering but had problems.
He was hit by a speeding driver and faulted by police. However, his insurance
company refused to pay for over a year. Our client ended up having neck
surgery again. Although the doctors could not prove (or did not want to
say) that the car accident reinjured our client, it was clear from our
client's pre- and post-accident conditions that the accident may have
played a roll. Because of the risk that this was correct, and the pressure
put on the insurance companies, both the other driver's and our client's
own company, we obtained a settlement in excess of $100K for our client.
