A 32 year old Madera woman was on her way to her job as usual as a medical assistant. She was driving on Ave 18 ½ when suddenly a vehicle coming in the opposite direction turned left in front of her . She applied her brakes and steered away from the other driver. However, even with the evasive move the vehicles did come together. She suffered a cut to her right knee and was shaken up. The parties exchanged information. She attempted to contact the adverse driver’s insurance company about her car damage but did not get a return phone call. After several attempts and as she was busy with her own life decided to call the Dunnion Law Firm. The assigned attorney at the Dunnion Law Firm obtained and report from a plastic surgeon that indicated the scar on her right knee was permanent. A demand was sent to the averse driver’s insurance carrier which had limits of $25,000.00. This sum was agreed to as the adverse driver had no additional assets or insurance. The Dunnion Lawyer reviewed the woman’s insurance coverage and discovered that she was eligible to make a claim for under insured motorist coverage on her own policy.
