The victim, an elderly woman from Hanford, California, was returning from Bass Lake, located in the Sierra Nevada foothills east of Oakhurst. While on Road 426, also known as Crane Valley Road, she noticed ahead a vehicle cross over the centerline. Though the victim swerved to the right, she was unable to avoid the head-on collision. Her vehicle was struck and she was knocked off the road and down a steep embankment.
Thankfully, her injuries were minor—especially in light of the catastrophic damage done to her vehicle. Though she only suffered a small sternum fracture, she hired The Dunnion Law Firm to make sure her bills were paid entirely by the drunk driver. Her attorneys accomplished this, but even better got her a substantial sum in her pocket. As for the drunk driver, she was prosecuted and convicted.
