Merced Retired Contractor Obtains $50,000 in Roll-Over Accident That He was Blamed For
Posted By The Dunnion Law Firm
A retired contractor from Merced was driving home after lunch when an elderly unlicensed man in an old pick-up truck ran the stop sign causing the retired contractor to T-bone him in the middle of the intersection. The pick-up truck rolled over from the impact. Fortunately, no one was killed, but the contractor was injured and taken by ambulance to Mercy Medical Center. He was injured in his neck and shoulder. After the accident, this retired contractor began a conservative regimen of treatment, but his shoulder never improved. After two months, an MRI revealed a partial tear in his rotator cuff. He continued with conservative care including pain management treatment. After more than a year of pain, he had no choice but to undergo a shoulder arthroscopy with debridement and rotator cuff repair. In the meantime, this contractor had hired The Dunnion Law Firm to handle his personal injury claim against the unlicensed defendant. He was concerned that such a driver would have no insurance or very little—he had the latter. As their client was recovering from the surgery, The Dunnion Law Firm obtained all of the insurance monies under the driver’s minimal insurance policy and all of the monies available under the client’s under-insured motorist policy. This retired contractor now has the benefit of having these funds as he reaches full recovery.
