A 55 year old woman who was separated from her husband suffered a most
unfortunate incident on September 21, 2015, in Fresno, California. Though
separated from her husband, the woman kept in a close friendly relationship.
No divorce proceedings had been filed by either party. In fact, they would
frequently help each other with their domestic chores around their respective
homes. On such an occasion on September 21, 2015, when the woman’s
husband came by and picked her up in the early morning hours on his motorcycle
to ride over to his house to do some gardening and general clean up. In
the blink of an eye, her life was irreversibly changed. As the motorcyclist
proceeded on Blackstone Avenue, a vehicle suddenly pulled out from a stop
sign directly in front of the motorcycle. The motorcyclist applied his
brakes and attempted to avoid a collision but the crash could not be averted.
The impact was severe, throwing both the woman and her husband from the
Harley Davidson motorcycle they were riding. The truck sustained front
end damage and the husband wound up in front of the truck, lying in a
pool of blood. Good samaritans summoned paramedics who came to the scene.
They found the husband without a pulse and woman with multiple fractures
and severe life threatening injuries. They were loaded into ambulances
and rushed to the emergency facilities of the hospital. There the husband
was pronounced dead and the woman underwent surgery for repair of her
fractures. The woman, through her mother, contacted The Dunnion Law Firm
who facilitated reduction of her medical bills, as well as procuring a
wrongful death policy limits settlement that the woman shared with the
daughter of her husband from a prior marriage. The relationship of the
heirs to the deceased and the complexities of the medical treatment and
future needs of the woman were all handled by The Dunnion Law Firm attorney
and the firm’s highly skilled staff. For this, the woman was grateful.
It was acknowledge by all concerned that no amount of money could erase
that tragic day, September 21, 2015.
