A 22-year-old Madera woman had been drinking and did not want to drive, so she accepted a ride home from an acquaintance. The man got pulled over by police, but rather than stopping, he led the police on a high-speed chase and crashed his car causing it to roll over.
The accident caused severe injuries to the young woman including multiple lacerations and bruises all over her body. One laceration on her face required stitches, and a gash on her lag required staples. The woman’s left knee had damage to her ligaments and tendons that required surgery. Her shoulder also had internal damage, so her doctor advised that if injections did not resolve her symptoms, surgery would be required.
The man was arrested for attempting to flee from the police, and his insurance tried to blame her, a passenger, as if it where her that wanted to flee from the police.
The woman turned to The Dunnion Law Firm. Arrangements were made for her to get the medical treatment she needed, including her knee surgery. The Dunnion Law Firm then compelled the insurance company to change its tune and a $250,000.00 policy-limit settlement was extracted, even before her medical treatment was concluded.
