Our client was driving on Highway 152 in the early morning hours to her job in Gilroy. Traffic was stopped for construction but a semi was speeding down the grade near Pacheco Pass and slammed into the rear of our client, pushing her vehicle into the car in front of her, then she bounced off that car and into the side divider wall. Her Honda Accord was destroyed and she sustained serious neck, back and shoulder injuries. She was taken to the hospital and then she treated with her doctor. He referred her out for physical therapy and an MRI, which showed something wrong in her neck. She was sent to an orthopedic specialist who did a series of epidural injections which helped relieve her pain. The Dunnion Law Firm obtained her bills and records and made a settlement demand pre-litigation and although it was clearly the trucker’s fault, they refused to offer anything and forced us to file suit. Quickly after suit was filed, though, the other side agreed to mediate the case and we were able to obtain a significant recovery for our client’s soft tissue damages. She was very thankful as the case settled right before she was getting married. We congratulate our client on winning her case and wish her the best of luck with her marriage and this new chapter in her life.
