We recently wrote about a $100,000 uninsured motorist settlement that we obtained for our client who was hit by an uninsured DUI driver. We are pleased to report that we just obtained an additional $250,000 policy limits settlement.
Our client was initially hit by an intoxicated woman driving the wrong way on the interstate. The DUI driver did not have insurance, so we pursued our client’s uninsured motorist coverage and obtained a $100,000 policy limits settlement for this first collision.
After the crash with the DUI driver, our client’s disabled car was struck again by a third vehicle. There was a separate police report that put the driver of the third vehicle at fault for the second collision because she hit a stopped object in the roadway. Based on the police report for this second collision, we made a demand to the insurance company for the third driver, which turned over its $250,000 policy limits a week later.
Because of our aggressive representation, we were able to secure these two settlements totaling $350,000 less than 60 days after the collisions occurred.
