A 28 year old who had ridden bicycles all of his life was struck by a pick up at a four way stop in Kern County. The police report blamed the bicycle rider for not stopping at a posted sign. Rebuffed by the defendant’s insurance carrier he contacted The Dunnion Law Firm. The experienced attorneys at The Dunnion Law firm were able to show that while the 28 year old may not have stopped at the posted sign that the pick up driver was also comparatively negligent for entering the roadway when it was not clear. Due to the injury sustained by the 28 year old and The Dunnion Law Firm’s creative position on liability the pick up truck driver’s insurance carrier choose to pay its full policy limits in the amount of $100,000.00 rather than face trial.
