A young Tulare man was out for a night on the town with some friends, when their car went off the road on the way home, flipped onto its side, and then turned over. Dunnion’s client was riding in the back seat with his hand resting on the open window sill; his only injury was a lot of flesh scraped off his fingers, but in was very painful and left unsightly scars. The driver did not have enough insurance to cover the losses for everyone in the car, so our young client turned to his own underinsured motorist coverage to pay the bills. Unfortunately, they gave him a low ball offer and never relented through more than two years of litigation. The arbitrator’s award more than doubled what the company had offered and the client was very happy with his result.
