The client, a 54 year old African American, was shopping at The Great Mall when she stepped from the curb and was struck by defendant. The insurance carrier refused to compensate her for any injury. Frustrated she called the Dunnion Law Firm who proved to the insurance carrier that while the client was comparatively negligent, the defendant was also negligent and therefore, the value of the claim exceeded the defendants policy limits. The carrier for the defendant recognizing that The Dunnion Law Firm was prepared to take them to court, paid out the full policy available in the amount of $100,000.00.
