Dunnion Firm Protects Settlement Funds for Client

In August, 2010, there was a standard three car pile-up on Highway 17 in Los Gatos. Dunnion’s client was rear ended and the question became: did the first following car hit her before the second hit the first? With the insurance carriers for the two following cars arguing their cases, it appeared that Dunnion’s client might never be able to settle her claim. Unfortunately, however, her injuries progressed to the point where she needed surgery, and it looked like even if both following vehicles tendered their policies (totaling $100,000) the client would take nothing home since the medical bills were in excess of her share of the claim. Luckily she had hired The Dunnion Law Firm which spent almost a year trying to get the client enrolled in a program for medically indigent adults. Once that was done, the bills were paid by the program, the two cars both paid their policies in full, and the client was able to put more than $50,000 of the settlement funds in her pocket, even after paying back the program for her medical care.
