Minor Files Action for Wrongful Death – $500,000

Although our client was just 16 years of age, he was the eldest of three heirs impacted by the victim’s wrongful death.

His ‘step-father’ who lived and supported the family had been killed in Tulare County when the driver of another vehicle sailed past a stop sign, striking the victim broadside at high speed. Although he is the non-biological son of the deceased, he brought forward his two younger siblings – the deceased’s biological children – and together they filed action against the at-fault driver.

Dunnion Law argued the loss of support and the loss of relationship with the deceased would have long-term impacts to the family, and recovered $500,000 for the deceased’s three minor children.
