Passenger broadsided in car- $500,032

A 19-year-old from Orange County was a passenger in a car with an at-fault driver. The driver ran a red light at an intersection, and was broadsided by another vehicle.

The passenger suffered a fractured rib, as well as jaw, arm and shoulder injuries that required hospitalization and extensive medical treatment. The driver, who had a suspended license at the time of the accident, was found to be at fault.

Despite the insurance company attempting to offer recovery at the statutory limits set for the vehicle rather than for the full extent based on the driver’s negligence, Dunnion Law argued the limits and won more than $500,000 for the passenger.
