Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle on Worksite – $450,000

A 25-year-old civil engineer was working at a public construction site along Highway 101 when the driver of a speeding semi-truck lost control of his vehicle and jack-knifed across multiple barriers. The car struck the unprotected engineer, tossing him into the air.

In addition to multiple closed-head injuries and loss of memory, the accident caused the engineer to have Grand Mal seizures and fracture his pelvic and hip area, requiring extensive and invasive treatments.
