There is a thrill and deep satisfaction to fighting hard and winning big for people who are hurt and need help. In law school I worked for a firm representing individuals injured by the negligence of another. I was hooked.
I enjoy seeing the results of hard work. I thrive on finding the right strategy to drive a case forward and win. Insurance companies and defense attorneys put every resource into trying to discredit and tear down injured victims. To succeed, the attorney has to be two steps ahead, gathering evidence, arguing persuasively, and doing whatever it takes.
The human spirit can be amazingly resilient. But when people are hurt, they need an advocate for very real needs: pain, medical treatment, wages lost. I am constantly awed by the strength that clients show in the face of suffering, and am honored to help them seek justice and compensation.
I enjoy serving the community by teaching English as a Second Language. In 2011, I completed a 500-mile solo bike ride across North Carolina to raise funds for education. I love being outside and spending time with family.
